Ken is married to Barbara, a teacher at Rockwall Christian Academy, a ministry of Church in the City. They have two grown sons, Shawn and Jason. Both Ken and Barbara have served overseas previously.
Ken and Barbara have been personal friends of the Hatley family for more than twenty-five years. Ken has visited CMIA twice. The most recent trip was in November of 2006, when he and Barbara were able to travel to Kenya to spend 2 weeks with them, visiting several of CMIA’s churches, schools, and orphanages, and participating in a pastors and wives conference. During this time they were greatly impacted by the opportunity to see the tremendous ministry that David and Jennifer have faithfully built over the years.

David & Dorothea Shields
Rev. David Shields and wife, Dorothea, live with their children in the small community of Rockwall, Texas. Together they founded ReIgnite International Ministries, an organization that exists to reignite vision, refuel passion and refresh the spirit of those who love and serve the Lord. They attend LakeShore Church where David has served as Missions Director since 2005, and a member of the board since 2003. David also serves as an ‘ambassador” for Texas-based Global Advance, conducting and participating in many Global Advance Frontline Shepherds Conferences. In addition to these, he is VP of Sales and Marketing for Paty Preferred Meat Company, and founder and president of Steak Expressions Meat Company Inc.
Dorothea has served in several areas and outreaches of the church, but the call to minister the special love of God to women around the world is the motivating passion of her heart. Dorothea finds deep satisfaction and fulfillment of purpose when women receive and walk in their own revelation of God’s plans and purposes for their lives. Her greatest prayer is that each woman of God would live life “on Earth as it is in Heaven!”
